CLOUD COMPUTING
CLOUD
COMPUTING : It is the delivery of computer science like
servers,storage,databases,networking,software,analytics,intelligence and more
over internet to offer faster innovation ,flexible resources and economics of
scale .We typically pay only for cloud sevices you can ,helping lower your operating
costs ,run your infrastructure
more efficiently and scale as your business
needs change.
BENEFITS
OF CLOUD COMPUTING :
1.COST :Cloud
computing eliminates the capital expenses of buying hardware and software and
setting up and running on-site datacenters.
2.SPEED :Most cloud computing services and provided self service and on
demand ,so most vast amounts of computing resources can be provisioned in
minutes.
3.GLOBAL SCALE :It includes the ability to scale
elastically, that means delivering the right amount of IT resources.
4.PRODUCTIVITY :On-site datacenters typically require a lot
of “racing and stacking“ hardware setup and other time-consuming IT management
chores. Cloud computing removes the need of these tasks, so they can spend time
on achieving more important business goals.
4.PERFORMANCE :As they run on a worldwide network of secure datacenters ,which are
regularly upgraded. This offers benefits over a single corporate datacenter,
including reduced network latency for applications and greater economies of
scale.
5.SECURITY :They offer a broad set of policies,
technologies and controls that strengthen your security posture overall
,helping protect your data, apps and infrastructure from potential threats.
TYPES OF CLOUD COMPUTING
:
1.PUBLIC CLOUD
2.PRIVATE CLOUD
3.HYBRID CLOUD
PUBLIC CLOUD : They are owned and operated by a
third-party cloud service provides ,which deliver their computing resources
like servers and storage over the internet.
EX :Microsoft Azure is an example for a public
cloud, “GOOGLE DRIVE” . With a public cloud all hardware and software and other
supporting infrastructure is owned and managed by the cloud provided. You
access these services and manage your account using web browser.
PRIVATE CLOUD : It refers to cloud computing resources
used exclusively by a single business or organization .A private cloud is one
in which the services and infrastructure are maintained on a private network .
A private cloud can be physically located on the company’s on-site datacenter.
HYBRID CLOUD :It combine public and private cloud , bound together by technology that
allows data and applications to be shared between them. By allowing data and
applications to move between private and public clouds, a hybrid cloud gives
your business greater flexibility ,optimize your existing infrastructure
,security and compliance.
COMPANIES THAT PROVIDE CLOUD COMPUTING :
Google Amazon
Microsoft IBM
Citrix Centurylink
TYPES OF CLOUD SERVICES :
1.Saas
2.Pass
3.Iaas
Saas :-Where the user doesnot have its software but depends
on companies software with help of a interface
EX: G mail
Paas:- Gives the user a platform for execution who owns his
own software
EX:
Online compilers
Iaas:- Where user asks for a server or storage
COMPANIES THAT USES CLOUD COMPUTING
ARE :
Netflix Etsy
Pinterest Mediamath
Instagram Apple
ORIGINATION
OF NAME
: The term “cloud computing “ was popularized with “Amazon.com” releasing its
“Elastic Computer Cloud” product in 2006. The word “cloud” was used as a
metaphor for the internet and a standardized cloud like shape was used to
denote a network on telephony schematics.
In 2008 April, Google released “ Google App
Engine” in beta. In mid 2008 Gartner saw an opportunity for cloud computing to shape the relationship among its services.
In 2010 Microsoft released “Microsoft Azur”
In 2010 July, Rackspace Hosting and NASA jointly
launched on open source cloud computing initiative known as “Open Stack”.
On March, 2011 IBM announced the IBM Smart
Cloud frame work to support Smarter
Planet.

a-ha i see so the potential for this technology is huge.so It allows gamers to experience playing on powerful hardware right which they wouldn't be able to afford and this cloud computing has also been exciting these days...
ReplyDeleteEven being a layman I can understand about cloud storage. Yeah, its a good innovation which stores data at a low cost.
ReplyDeleteThis was multi-layered and each layer added their own specialism… technical, often but, mostly, commercial and knowledge of a specific market/business/support.
ReplyDeleteCloud Computing flattens that model and can make it harder to identify the specific skills and protect the layers.

ReplyDeletecloud refers to a distinct IT environment that is designed for the purpose of remotely provisioning scalable and measured IT resources. The term originated as a metaphor for the Internet which is, in essence, a network of networks providing remote access to a set of decentralized IT resources. Prior to cloud computing becoming its own formalized IT industry segment.
ReplyDeletenow-a-days it was the trending topic....she said very clearly that a learner could understand easily...!!!
ReplyDeleteyes it is very interesting topic
ReplyDeleteIt is an excellent topic.Cloud computing has received increasing interest from enterprises since cloud computing eliminates the capital expenses of buying hardware and software as mentioned in benefits.
ReplyDeleteCloud Computing is very trending topic. It focuses on providing a service with the use of varying computer resources, both hardware and software, over the Internet
ReplyDeletecloud computing poses privacy concerns because the service provider can access
ReplyDeletethe data that is the cloud at any time.It could accidentally or deliberately alter or
delete information.
You explained the live application of data structures and data sharing and storing. the topic is so interesting .The basics of cloud computing is good in the topic
ReplyDeleteCloud computing has received increasing interest from enterprises since its inception. ... However, cloud computing poses highly concerning internal (e.g., Top management and experience) and external issues (e.g., regulations and standards).
ReplyDeleteCloud Computing is a very vast concept and has seen a major growth in past 5 years and there are many aspects which still need to be analysed and has a scope of research and development. Those few aspects are-security,costs and management, development.
